Jobs (For Professors, Assistant Professors) notification by GPSC

Applications are invited by the GOA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 03.06.2010. Casa J.D. 1. Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry …… 1 Post

Scale of Pay: Rs. 16,400-22,400/-. Age: Not exceeding 50 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Ph.D. Degree (with first class either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.

(ii) 10 years experience in teaching/industry/research, out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Note: Candidates from Industry/Profession with first Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and with professional work which is significant and can be recognised as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

2. Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutics …… 1 Post (resvd. for OBC)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000-18,300/-. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Ph.D. Degree (with first class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.

(ii) 3 years experience in teaching/industry/research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent.

(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Note: Candidates from Industry/Profession with first Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and professional work which is significant and can be recognised as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 5 years experience would also be eligible.
