1. Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry …… 1 Post
Scale of Pay: Rs. 16,400-22,400/-. Age: Not exceeding 50 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Ph.D. Degree (with first class either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
(ii) 10 years experience in teaching/industry/research, out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: Candidates from Industry/Profession with first Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and with professional work which is significant and can be recognised as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

2. Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutics …… 1 Post (resvd. for OBC)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000-18,300/-. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

Eligibility for Admission
A candidate who has passed B.Pharm degree of Mahatma Gandhi University or any other University recognized by Mahatma Gandhi University as equivalent there to, from an institution recognised by the AICTE, New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India ,with not less than 60% marks for all the four years of B.Pharm examination taken together. Relaxation of 5 % marks is permitted for SC/ST candidates. A weightage of 10 marks for candidate who have graduated from SME for admission. All Indian citizens are eligible for admission to the course. Sponsored candidates should have not less than 1 year full time work experience.

Selection criteria
Merit list is prepared on the basis of 25% B.Pharm mark and 75% as valid GPAT score percentile. Seat in sponsored category will be converted to general category in the absence of candidates with a valid GPAT score. Graduates without GPAT score will be considered in case of non-availability of GPAT qualified candidates.

Opening of Drug Inspector posts (37) by Govt. of Punjab

Applications are invited for recruitment on regular basis to 37 posts of Drug Inspectors which are lying vacant in the institutions of Health Department Punjab. Number of posts may increase or decrease. The detail of posts in various categories and their pay scale is as per Annexure-A and B. No Person shall be appointed to the services by direct recruitment, unless he passes the following educational qualifications and experience:-

Educational and other Qualifications for Drug Inspector:
Should possess a degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or institution.
Provided that only those inspectors:-
i) Who have not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule “C” of the Drugs and cosmetic Rules 1945; or
ii) Who have not less than 18 months experience in the testing of at least one of the substances in Schedule “c” of the Drugs and cosmetic Rules 1945; in a laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority; or
iii) Who have gained experience of not less than 3 years in the inspection of farms manufacturing any of the substances in Schedule “c” of the Drugs and Cosmetic Rules 1945 during the tenure of their services as Drugs inspectors; Shall be authorized to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in Schedule “c” of the Drugs and cosmetic Rules 1945.
iv) Knowledge of Punjabi Language up to Matriculation Standard. Candidates who do not possess the qualification shall have to acquire this qualification within six months of their joining the service failing which their services shall be terminated.

AGE LIMIT:-
18 to 35 years on 1-1-2010.

NOTE:
i) The upper age limit for Punjab State, other States or Central Government Employees is relaxable up 45 years.
ii) The upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable up to a maximum of five years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab.
iii) The upper age limit for widows and certain other categories of women of Punjab is relaxable up to 40 years.
iv) An ex-serviceman of Punjab domicile shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of the Union from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such a vacancy in the service Rules concerned by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.

Other Terms and Conditions:
1. Candidates will be considered in the category in which they are applying on merit i.e. General Category & Reserve Category.
2. Reservation Policy will be applicable as per instructions of the State Government. Candidates who have applied against Scheduled Caste Category but if he/she comes in merit at par with General Category will be selected against the General Category seats.
3. 5. The application forms complete in all respects, must reach before 5 p.m. on or before dated 24-5-2010. The applications received later than the prescribed date shall be summarily rejected. Wrongly filled or incomplete applications shall also be summarily rejected and the candidature cancelled.
6. Incomplete applications and incomplete educational qualification will not be considered/entertained.

Admission announcement of PGDHM and PGDPM by IIHMR

Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) announces admissions dates for Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management (PGDHM)  and Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM) in its Jaipur and New Delhi campuses.

Eligibility:
Candidates with minimum 50% in the degree exam from a recognized university with duration of three years. candidates appearing in their final year degree may also apply. The candidate must have taken any one of the Management Aptitude Test (minimum MAT composite score 550, MAT scores of September, December, 2009 and February and May, 2010 are acceptable). Mid career professionals, graduates (with a minimum of two year relevant work experience in the healthcare sector after graduation) are exempted from MAT.
